Training update

It's been a few months since my last post - I thought I'd just share an update that training is going well.

I've done a number of 10ks this year, more than I had initially intended. But I'm really glad with how they've all gone - while I haven't cracked my speed target just yet, I'm glad I've been able to do them without injury. I've run in central London, through the middle of York, and in the Dalby Forest. In January, I'm signed up for the Brass Monkey half marathon, having secured a place through a ballot of places given to GoodGym York for our help before. The Brass Monkey half marathon is a really popular one, and I gather it's supposed to be flat and fast - as such, I'm going to indulge in the excesses of December and use this to kickstart the next stage of my training.
My fundraising is going well, the amount in the pot rising and with my pub quiz being a success. That said, there's still a long way to go! In the new year, I'll run another quiz and I'm exploring the idea of taking donations for DMing Dungeons and Dragons session (a hobby that's unexpectedly taken root this year). If anyone has any good ideas, let me know! Otherwise, please donate on my page here:
